Training is one of the most important investments you can make in your dog.

Train the dog you have today, for the dog you want tomorrow

If you need help finding a trainer locally in the Tri-Cities or elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest, even if it is for a specific canine sport or activity, we’re happy to reach out to some of our connections and get contact information to you. We do not receive compensation from any of the resources listed below. Training resources listed here are included because of our own first hand knowledge of their skill and experience, or because many of our fosters and/or adopters have had positive experiences and seen progress with their dog(s).

If you are a trainer in the Tri-Cities or Pacific Northwest area and would like to be listed as a resource, please email us so we can talk with you and understand the services you provide.

Before beginning any training program, it's important to ensure your dog is healthy and comfortable. Physical discomfort, illness, injury, dental problems, ear infections, digestive upset, or other underlying medical issues can make it difficult for a dog to focus, learn, or fully participate in training activities.

If your dog experiences a sudden change in behavior, energy level, appetite, or willingness to engage, you may want to consult your veterinarian to rule out potential medical causes before assuming the issue is strictly behavioral.

Diet and behavior are closely connected. A dog's nutrition can influence energy levels, focus, mood, comfort, and overall well-being, all of which can affect behavior.
