Herbert

Mastiff

Male

Large

Adult

The Lamb Weston Mastiff, now known as Herbert, has been a known at large dog for many months. Herbert was thought to be an owned dog but recently learned information suggests otherwise. If he is owned, we are hoping his owner contacts us. We would rather help someone keep their pet secure than have them in a rescue - but for now, Herbert the Mastiff is safe. He is extremely laid back and has been great with people so far. Dogs and cats are unknown.

LD

Terrier, Pit Bull

Male

Large

Adult

LD is a young, sometimes people selective boy. He may be selective about people, but once he bonds with you, he will be by your side faithfully for the rest of his days. He will require a home with no young children, as he has not been around them in our care. He is a medium energy boy who would love to be a part of your daily routine for the rest of his life. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to love you!
defaultDogIconMagenta.png

Yukon

Terrier, American Staffordshire/Mix

Male

Large

Adult

Meet Yukon, a younger lab/pit mix who is looking for his forever humans. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped & dewormed. Yukon had a rough start to life, ending up in a high kill shelter by the time he was the age of 6 months old. Fortunately, we were able to rescue him and get him adopted, but his adoption is not working out due to the level of trauma he went through in his young life. He is good with other dogs, but needs new people to go slow with him and let him come around to them. He is not good with cats, and not good with young kids. He requires a fully fenced in yard, and active lifestyle. He would really benefit from some formal training so that his new humans can learn how to communicate to him what they want from him. While Yukon is emotionally damaged, he is doing his best to be the sweetest boy he knows how to be, and needs proper training, redirection & patience in his forever home. He has a strong relationship with his human dad, as opposed to his mom. This boy needs a hero, could that be you?
defaultDogIconMagenta.png

Nick

Retriever, Black Labrador

Male

Medium

Adult

Nick is a striking 11 month old black lab mix with love and energy to spare. He is going to be a fantastic family member, but he has some requirements in his forever home. His ideal home is one with a friendly dog and low human traffic. He has graduated from training at @ridge. Nick is a loyal, smart and loving dog. He loves to run and play with other friendly and playful dogs. Strangers need to be introduced slowly and on his terms. Nick needs a calm home with patient humans. Once he learns he can trust you, you will see that is he a wonderful dog. You can earn his trust by spending time with him in a quiet place while allowing him to explore the area and you. It's important not to rush this process. Nick has some characteristics that need to be known by potential adopters to ensure his long term success. -He will bark at strangers like the mailman and intruders. -He will do best in a home with another friendly dog to keep him occupied. -He needs a home that does not get a lot of guests. -He does well in the kennel, which can be used when new guests come to the home. -He does well when left alone, he is not destructive, he will find a quiet spot and nap. Nick will be a great dog if he goes to the right home. He is proficient in cues like- sit, down, place, kennel, leave it, high 5, high 10, shake, crawl and leash walking!! Nick is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. He is currently located in Tricities Washington. His adoption fee is $450.

Cypress

Terrier, American Pit Bull/Mixed Breed

Male

Large

Senior

Everyone needs a hero sometimes. Cypress was mine in February when I was approached by loose dogs and he calmly stepped in front of me. His protection meant I escaped without injury, but this brave boy suffered some deep punctures and soft tissue damage. Now Cypress has recovered and needs a hero himself. He needs an adoptive home. Over a year ago Cypress was starved, frost bitten, and alone out in the country. He had taken shelter in a rural building and was frightened, not letting anyone approach him, and he wouldn't leave. They were out of options and we stepped in. With love and hot dogs we brought him to safety and since then he has been a part of The Pit Bull Pen family. He flourished in a safe warm home with consistent meals and soon showed he was well house trained and loved tough chew toys and tearing up stuffed animals. We recently discovered his love for playing in water! He has been neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a solid 80 pounds of love. He has gone through many months of training at @mattox and is eager to show off his skills. We recently learned he is much older than we believed and our boy is an aged but still enthusiastic overgrown puppy at 8 years old. He does well with people with appropriate introductions and once he decides you are safe your lap is fair game, he is convinced he fits perfectly. He mostly ignores other dogs and does best with other polite dogs and more submissive ones. Cypress cannot be housed with cats and is very high drive toward them. Cypress was worth saving. He was worth healing him from frostbite and helping him gain weight. He was worth investing months of intensive training into. He deserves to find his amazing forever home where he can bask in the sun and frolic in water. He will be a beloved family member. He is currently in Tri-cities Washington and his adoption fee is $350.

Electron

Mixed Breed

Male

Medium

Senior

Electron is a feisty senior looking for a forever home that understands he is a little prince. He may be only 25 pounds and 11 years old, but he has personality that fills a room and the spunky energy of a far younger dog. Electron is a mystery mix, perhaps some terrier Pomeranian, who is microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated. He has some hind leg tremors that don't appear to bother him. He likes people and can be selective about other animals, generally doing best when they interact politely with him. Currently located in Tricities Washington. His adoption fee is $350.

Diva/Kimi

Retriever, Labrador/Terrier, Pit Bull

Female

Large

Adult

Black dog syndrome is real and Kimi is a victim of it. Black dogs are regularly overlooked in favor of lighter colors and spend longer in shelters and rescues before finding their forever homes. Kimi is a year old lab mix. She has completed training at Ridge Dogs and is a big lover of people. She has not been cat tested recently but lived comfortably with cats and dogs as a puppy. She isn't comfortable in over stimulating environments but is dog friendly with proper introductions. Kimi is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. She is currently located in Tricities Washington. Her adoption fee is $400.

Casey

Chihuahua/Mixed Breed

Male

Small

Senior

Sweet frightened Casey has made some real progress at being comfortable in a home with a family. He has stopped flinching at every sudden movement and no longer desperately hides his food, knowing there will always be more. His conflicted little life grows ever less conflicted as he learns the humans he is so drawn to won't cause him harm. Casey has had 10 teeth removed and he is feeling so much better now. We have also come to learn he has lost some vision and almost all hearing. He can see well enough to navigate daily life but the loss adds to his fearfulness. The way to his heart is through his stomach and he can be so brave for cheese. Casey is extremely dog friendly and a fantastic canine pack member. His quality of life is greatly improved by having a calm friendly dog to follow the cues of to compensate for his loss of senses and help him be more confident. He is cat neutral, ignores them completely. He is some type of small breed mix and comes from a past with a lot of dogs around and not many humans at all. Casey will need a very special forever home. A calm quiet home that understands this isn't a dog who will walk into your home and settle in. A companion who will know how hard it is for him the first time he tentatively nudges your hand, and will rejoice in the meaning of it. A family who will work as hard as he will to come together over time to be safe and loved. He needs another stable happy balanced dog in the home to follow the lead of. He also needs a secure environment indoors and out, he could be flight risk due to his fear and open doors are especially tempting. He will also be required to wear a gps collar. Casey is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. He is located in Tri-cities Washington. Casey is safe and happy in his foster home, and slowly growing braver, but he really does need a forever person of his own. They are out there somewhere. His adoption fee is $350.

Mini

Cattle Dog, Australian (Red Heeler)

Female

Medium

Adult

Marvelous Mama Mini! At 3 years old this beautiful girl came to us about to bring a litter of minis into the world. Fast forward 3 months and her puppies are happy and healthy and she is ready to set off into the world, never to have puppies again. Mini is a cattle dog (full blood) and has all the traits that go along with a working breed. She is highly intelligent and quick to obey. She is strong willed when left to her own devices and fiercely loyal. She is athletic and energetic and is going to be a dream dog for the right home. She is not a couch potato pet and will need her activity for her mental and physical needs provided. Mini would do best in a home with breed experience or comparable, and/or an adopter able to work with a trainer to help everyone be living their best lives. She is dog friendly, cats are unknown. She is suspicious of strangers but once you win her heart you have a faithful companion for life. Mini is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed. She is currently located in Tricities Washington. Her adoption fee is $400.

Pinkie

Terrier, American Pit Bull

Female

Medium

Young Adult

Meet Pinkie! From her current home: Pinkie is a high energy pup but able to relax or nap easily. She’s loveable and snuggly; the very first night at my house she climbed onto my bed and cuddled up next to me, sleeping soundly all night. Loves to play rowdy, fetch balls (she's learning to bring back the ball), put her head out the car window, and eat her meals; also loves chewy toys and stuffed animals. She has excellent hearing and will sound a bark alarm if she hears something moving outside; however, she quiets down quickly once I reassure her that everything is ok. She is beautiful, a bright white with blue-green eyes and elegant pink in her ears and face. She’s an all around sweetheart. Pinkie would benefit from an individual or family who could take her on adventures. She is adaptable, learning to live with our family cat and playing nicely with a friend’s tiny puppy. She can be nervous at introductions and will need an adopter and any dogs to understand her need for a slower pace. Pinkie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is currently located in Tricities Washington. You

I am a unicorn, that means I am darn near perfect... great with kids, cats, other dogs, going out in public, crate trained, leash trained, potty trained and my foster mom would totally keep me if she could but she travels sometimes and I can't go with her. She did say that I can be destructive if left alone too long and that could be why I was found running the streets alone on a very cold night. No matter though, I know just the perfect family will find me real soon, is that you?? I am an amazing young pit bull. My color is lavender or champagne which makes me pretty special. I am great with children, basically all people, dogs, even like cats!

Micca

Terrier, American Pit Bull

Female

Large

Senior

Micca is a stout 8 year old velvet hippo bully type. This poor old girl has had no luck at all. Adopted as a middle aged lady with another similar companion she thought she hit the jackpot! They were ready to live out their years like Laverne and Shirley with their beloved new human, but fate intervened and their human walked the Rainbow Bridge too early. She returned to our care and was adopted once more, but this aging grande old dame has developed strong feelings about some other dogs around her and is back with us once more. We have not been able to identify the triggers of her dog selectivity and feel she will do best finding an only dog home as her retirement home. She is cat neutral and loves a good car ride. She is wonderful with humans. She has developed a love for watching daytime TV and snacking on dog biscuits. Micca is what you might call a "low maintenance" dog. She doesn't need a lot of exercise (in fact, she prefers to spend most of her time napping), and she's not really interested in climbing mountains. She's more of a "sit on the couch and binge-watch Netflix" kind of dog. But don't let her lazy demeanor fool you - Micca has hidden talents. She's a champion at finding the comfiest spot on the couch, and she's a pro at making puppy-dog eyes to get you to share your snacks. She's also a great listener and a loyal companion - even if she does sometimes snore during movie night. Micca is looking for a forever home with someone who appreciates a dog that's happy to just hang out and be a couch potato. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. Currently located in Tricities Washington. Her adoption fee is $350.

Cain and Enoch are stunning beautiful blue brothers. They were originally adopted from us as puppies but their person has had some life changes and they are looking for new people to cherish them as much as their first one. This has been a heartbreaking situation for their person. These dogs are bonded and we will be doing everything possible to keep them together as everything will be unfamiliar, they will only have each other. Cain and Enoch have been well raised and well trained with love and will be amazing additions to their new home. They are now 2 years old and large bully types. They do best with humans home more than they are away. They are dog friendly and good with people, due to their size we prefer older children. Cats are unknown. The boys are microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. Currently located in Tricities Washington.

Freckles

Collie, Border/Cattle Dog, Australian

Male

Medium

Adult

I'm Freckles and my life has changed A LOT the past few months. See, my foster momma says she "integrated" me into her "ZooCrew" which are her special doggies and I'm pretty special so that's where I needed to be. Before that I was always outside, with my brothers who have been adopted or are in a foster away from me. I like it and get to meet new doggies often and I have 2 buddies named Lucky and Hemi that I just LOVE!!! I lick their faces, am all wiggly when I get out of the crate to go outside for a while. Hemi don't like it much and sometimes he chases me away and then we wrestle and run around. I get into trouble with Lucky cuz him and I are bigger and we get running, jumping and tearing through the house we have so much fun we forget that we're inside. Sunday I laughed so hard when Lucky fell off the bed but then I forgot and I fell off the bed which wasn't as funny but he thought so. I like it here a lot but I think it's time to free up a spot for a dog in need and that means I need adopted. Now foster momma says I'm whatever a "diamond in the rough" and with some training I will be the bestest dog ever. I do know how to sit, I can be lured into a crate with special treats and will go to sleep but I would rather sleep on the bed with you. I do have a bad habit or two of pulling things from the garbage or sampling shoes or dirty laundry on occasion but it smells like you so how can you blame me, right? I need time to get to know you when we first meet and I'll need some practice going places, being on leash, riding in the car, your friends need to give me time to get used to them and I will because foster momma says I'm a "rock star" and that I can do anything!!! Freckles is a 3 year old heeler/border collie mix. He is current on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and ready to love you. He is a little shy at first, but once you earn his trust, he will be your best friend!

Tie

Terrier, American Staffordshire/Boxer

Male

Large

Adult

Boy howdy I just can't catch a break! First off, I land myself in a rescue after emergency surgery because I ate some stuff I wasn't supposed to. I threw up the washcloth, but the hand towel didn't come out, so it was off to the vet I went. Surgery went well and it quickly became evident that I have allergies and hadn't been fed properly which caused me to lose a lot of my hair and makes my skin pretty red most of the time. I was feeling a lot better when I was on Apoquel and that might be required again if I can't figure out what I'm allergic to. I'm a big, lovey, fuzzy, goofball and all I want is a home where I'm going to be loved and cared for like I deserve. I'm rowdy sometimes but respectful, I LOVE to cuddle and lay in your bed so that's a must. I do ok with other dogs once properly introduced, typically I will run from confrontation. I was hanging out with a bunch of big poodles and we did pretty well. I'm really bored and don't like living at the rescue and want a real home where I can develop my full potential, will you help me do that? Please?

He loves the ladies, shy with strangers but warms up and is very loving and friendly with family and regular visitors. He lives with cats without any concerns. Tanner is happiest if he can lay around with someone home all day. He has had some moments of destructiveness when left alone and does best if kenneled when nobody is home. Frankie

Terrier, Pit Bull/Mix

Female

Medium

Adult

Everyone's favorite goofy girl Frankie popping in to remind everyone she's still single and ready to mingle! Frankie has Cerebellar hypoplasia, which means part of her brain stem didn't didn't develop enough. It affects her balance and coordination. She has been living with it her whole life and it doesn't keep her from living a fulfilling life at all. She can run and play like other dogs and she is the most cheerful creature you'll ever meet. Generally she sometimes stumbles or steps off edges, she has occasional head bobbing motions, and she tends to hold her back legs wider apart than is usual. This is not a degenerative condition and the Frankie you meet today is the Frankie she will continue to be. It is not painful and she can be expected to have a normal lifespan. Other dogs tend to be uncomfortable around Frankie and she has learned to expect them to be unpleasant to her. As a result we feel it is in her best interest to go to an only dog home. She has been cat neutral. She adores humans! Strangers are just friends she hasn't met yet. She is slightly awkward as if her legs aren't all original factory parts and her tongue is frequently out. She is a bit odd and beyond lovable. Frankie is a year old mixed breed, predominantly Staffie and Rottweiler. She is dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, and ready to be odd and lovable with her forever family. She is a volunteer favorite and is cheerful living at the rescue, she doesn't really know any other life, but we are all wishing she could find her people who will love her as much as we do. She is currently in Tricities Washington. Her adoption fee is $400.

Young Adult

Meet Zilly, a 10-month-old mixed breed who is looking for a forever home. This adorable pup hasn't had much exposure to kids yet, but he has had lots of interaction with his current foster, who has gently tugged at and handled him without any negative reaction from Zilly. In fact, he's a playful pup who loves attention and enjoys playtime with people. Zilly is crate-trained and does well in his crate, but when left alone outside of it, he can get bored and find some trouble to get into. He is an affectionate boy who loves to play and cuddle. He'll play all day long, but also loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with you when you're feeling down, a true lap dog at heart. While he finds cats fun, he responds well to corrections and will leave them alone. He also gets along great with other dogs. Zilly is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered. He is currently located in Tricities Washington.

Bocephus/Bo

Terrier, American Pit Bull

Male

Medium

Young Adult

Bo is a lovable bully type companion who easily gets along with the resident dogs in his foster home, and shows no issues with cats. In addition he is fantastic with kids and enjoys their company! Bo came to us suffering from badly bowed legs due to malnutrition but they have vastly improved and he moves well. He also came in with cherry eye in both eye and has surgery booked to repair them. His foster home is focusing on kennel training and potty training. As long as he is regularly let out, Bo has been making excellent progress in both areas. Not surprisingly as a young dog he has a fondness for toys and is always excited about mealtime and treats. Snuggling is another favorite activity of his. Remarkably, Bo doesn't mind bath time at all and patiently sits there while being bathed. Additionally, he is a great traveler and would be a good road trip partner. Bo will be neutered before his adoption is final as well as having his cherry eye repair surgery. He is microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. Currently located in Tricities Washington.
